About Us

Prestige Home Improvement & Plumbing Inc. was established in 1996 when two cousins (Steve Smith & James Palmisano) became business partners and ran day to day operations.

Not much has changed. We are still a small business and both help run all projects. Also employed on a part time basis is, father to Steve and uncle to James, Stan Smith.

Steve Smith was raised in Elkridge and started in the construction industry after graduating from Howard High in 1986. He first worked for a plumbing firm in Catonsville where he earned his journeyman plumbing license followed by a master plumbing license 10 years later. He still resides in Howard County in Sykesville where he lives with his wife Beth of 20 years who is an interior decorator for CB Flooring in Columbia and his daughter Breanne who is a student at Shenandoah University. He enjoys fishing, crabbing, playing cards, and  Coaching girls fast pitch softball of which his daughter Breanne actively participates.

James Palmisano grew up outside Baltimore and graduated from Lansdowne High School in 1982. He studied carpentry, woodworking, and automotive repair while in school and later was employed by a plumbing outfit for several years. He also worked in the automotive field for over ten years before joining the construction Industry. He lives on a farm in Hanover Pennsylvania with his wife Teresa who is an accounting clerk for a local business in Westminster. They have been married for over 22 years and have one daughter Jessica, who attends West Virginia University. He enjoys hunting, camping, and competing at local horseback riding events.

 Cody Fricke was born in Baltimore and later moved to Glenville, Pennsylvania where he grew up and still resides. He graduated from Southwestern High School in Pennsylvania where he excelled in metal shop, trigonometry, and chemistry. He enjoys football, hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles.
